The Melanesians

Humans have been leaving Africa and colonizing the rest of the world repeatedly from the beginning of time. In the words of Richard Dawkins ‘We are all African’.
Vestiges, of Early people to Migrate from Africa can be found in all over the world with that I present the Melanesians.

The Melanesians are an ethnic group in Melanesia. The original inhabitants of the group of islands now named Melanesia were likely the ancestors of the present-day Papuan-speaking people.

Predominantly Melanesian areas include the Mollucas of Eastern Indonesia, the New Guinea and surrounding islands, the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu and Fiji.

While all humans, (who are descendants of people who left Africa in multiple waves)  outside of Africa are now known to have inherited some genes from Neanderthals, Melanesians are the only known modern humans whose prehistoric ancestors mixed with the Denisova hominin, sharing 4%–6% of their genome with this ancient cousin of the Neanderthal.  

Blonde hair is exceptionally rare among those without European heritage, however Melanesians of some islands are one of the few non-European peoples and the only dark-skin group of humans known to have blonde hair.

I wonder how the Melanesian define themselves I met a Melanesian chief  not to long ago, who looked quite similar to me. Very fascinating.
